POLAROIDS DON'T LIE
This year, Polaroid announced the end of its instant film legacy. The remarkable invention of Edwin Land that became a household name of so many from my generation will cease to continue. I can vividly remember my grandmother taking Polaroids of me and my cousins during our early years and coating her old refrigerator with them like plaster.
When she passed last year (pause), I wanted to do something special for her to honor her continued pursuit of never missing special moments. Polaroids made those special moments last years longer than some of my memories did. When I inherited her old Polaroid camera, I sought to capture images that spoke of an instant time and place that could not be digitally created. New York City was my metropolis of choice because of the people, the atmosphere, and the constant change of scenary.
